What is Scrapstore?

Swindon Children's Scrapstore is a local community resource centre and environmental charity, which collects businesses redundant reusable materials for the benefit of the local community.

 
Our Mission Statement:

"To provide or assist in the provision of facilities for
recreation, education and leisure-time activities for the
inhabitants of Swindon and surrounding areas who have
need of such facilities by reason of their age, infirmity
or disablement, poverty or social and economic
circumstances with the object of improving the
conditions of life of such persons."

 

Turning Waste Things into Play things’ through art, educational and recreational activity. Scrapstore educates children, parents, child minders, play leaders and play professionals about re-use and recycling.

By collecting local business's clean, reusable waste, we save over 100 ton's of waste from landfill every year!

We also buy in products for our shop, such as some of our seasonal range and pass on the discount we get to our customers and members.

Our shop and premises are wheelchair friendly and fully accessible to people with disabilities.
